Mongolia Road Atlas at 1:500,000 from the Ulaanbaatar based publishers Monsadur, with a very vivid presentation of the country’s topography by satellite-derived mapping with additional altitude colouring, plenty of peaks names and spot heights; plus a separate fold-out map of the country for route planning.
The atlas shows local and national paved, gravel and dirt roads, indicating driving distances on main routes, locations of fuel supplies and border crossings. Railway lines are shown with stations and local airports are marked. Symbols highlight tourist accommodation, various places of historical or cultural interest, mines and coal deposits, etc. Also shown are internal administrative borders as well as boundaries of national parks and other protected areas. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at intervals of 20’ and 30’ respectively. All place names are in the Latin alphabet and the atlas includes a glossary of Mongolian words used on the maps. Map legend is in English.
The atlas includes a separate fold-out map of Mongolia at 1:2,500,000 with the same vivid presentation of the topography. The map shows main roads with driving distances and includes a separate distance table.
